Data centers and AI infrastructure are being built faster than our methods for assessing their health impacts. No comprehensive HIA of a U.S. data center has been published yet, even as communities raise questions about air quality, water, noise, energy costs, cumulative burden, and who bears them. This interactive 90-minute session introduces an interim framework for HIA of data centers and AI infrastructure: a precautionary, cumulative-impact, equity-centered method built for practitioners and designed to be revised as the evidence matures.

In the first half of this webinar, Dr Sandra Whitehead will present the framework itself: how to reason about health evidence when direct studies do not yet exist, the pathway matrix, benefit verification, governance and accountability, and monitoring. The second half is yours. We will move into breakout rooms to gather practitioner input on three questions: what is missing, where the framework may be wrong, and what new ideas should the field fold in. This is a living framework, and this session is part of how it evolves.
