SOPHIA is delighted to be hosting the 2022 Practitioner Workshop on December 13-14th. The event will be held virtually from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm ET both days. We'll hear from HiAP/HIA practitioners about the on-the-ground work they've done in the US to promote health equity and where the field is heading.
Tuesday, December 13th will feature a keynote address by Charles Lee, Senior Policy Advisor at the EPA, speaking on the challenge and promise of applying HIA and health equity principles to environmental justice. After his talk, there will be time for Q&A and small group discussions. On Wednesday, December 14th, we'll learn from a panel of local HiAP/HIA practitioners about their experience implementing HIAs in both urban and rural settings. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and connect with each other following the panel. Learn more about speakers on our website.
